The BSCC – British Swiss Chamber of Commerce – is inviting the CWF members and their guests to share a special luncheon, featuring DORIS LEUTHARD, former President of the Swiss Confederation 2010 and 2017 – Swiss Federal Councillor, 2006-2018.

One of the most respected and popular Swiss Federal Councillors, and twice President of the Swiss Confederation – in 2010 and again in 2017 – Doris Leuthard honours us with her presence.

Coming from the Christian Democratic People’s Party (CVP/PDC), she was first elected to the Swiss Federal Council in 2006 and stepped down in 2018.

She was the fifth woman elected to the Federal Council.

In high office, she headed the Federal Department of Economic Affairs and then went on to become head of the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications.

In her capacity as minister, she was appointed by United Nations Secretary General António Guterras in 2018 to the High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation, co-chaired by Melinda Gates and Jack Ma.

Nowadays, she is a member of various boards, including the Kofi Annan Foundation and Stadler Rail.

Doris Leuthard has without question left an indelible mark on the Swiss political scene.  The Geneva Chapter is delighted to welcome her and be joined by members and guests of the Career Women’s Forum.

Lors de son concert Femmes de Légende-Femmes du Monde, Coraline Parmentier nous dévoilera son talent de pianiste interculturelle en nous offrant un voyage musical rythmé par des œuvres de compositrices internationales de 1900 à nos jours, alliant musique classique, jazz, musique traditionnelle et pop.

“Oser toujours, Céder parfois, Renoncer jamais”

Ingénieur financier dans un grand Groupe après des études de droit et gestion, Peggy Bouchet devient à 25 ans, par goût de l’Aventure, la première femme à oser traverser l’Atlantique à la rame. Entrepreneure et conférencière connue et reconnue, elle est intervenue récemment à la plénière du Women’s Forum à Paris.

A 23 ans, on lui reproche son manque d’expérience de la haute mer, son jeune âge et le fait d’être une femme. A force de combativité, d’efforts, de sacrifices, de courage et de pugnacité, elle réussit avec son équipe, à préparer cette belle aventure humaine.

Après 79 jours de mer, avoir parcouru 5 500 km à bout de bras, la veille de l’arrivée, elle fait naufrage dans une mer démontée et reste pendant près de 9 heures en survie à califourchon sur la coque de son bateau retourné, elle est sauvée in extremis. 18 mois plus tard, elle recommence et c’est victorieuse qu’elle atteint la Martinique.

Peggy met en avant les valeurs communes à l’Aventure et à l’Entreprise : audace, résilience, courage, curiosité, adaptabilité et prise de risques.

En plus de voir la vie en OSE, c’est une femme engagée sur les sujets en lien avec l’inclusion, l’accompagnement et l’engagement des jeunes porteurs de projets, pour les aider à traverser « leur Atlantique ».

Peggy est également Présidente/créatrice de l’Association « Enfants du Léman », qui a pour but de réaliser les rêves d’enfants atteints de lourdes pathologies à l’échelle locale (dans un périmètre compris autour du Lac Léman en France et en Suisse)

Sa devise : « Oser toujours, Céder parfois, Renoncer jamais ».

The WAVE conference brings together participants from the CWF community and beyond to debate around a socio-economic theme.

Organized at the end of the afternoon, the event makes it possible to combine networking, as well as exchanges between Swiss and International companies. The conference will be followed by an informal cocktail dinner allowing interaction between the speakers and the participants.

What does transformation mean to you?

Transformation is fundamental in an ever-changing world and can appear in many forms. Innovation is currently one of the most acknowledged.

How do you define it? How do you experience it?

Is it a revolution, an evolution? Or both, a R-evolution?

For some, it is a risk leading to resistance towards change. For others, on the contrary, it is an opportunity, a development factor.

Throughout history, all developed economies have put transformation strategies into place to improve lifestyles and levels of productivity. Nowadays, most of the media tend to approach this subject from a transitional angle, referring to the challenges relating to climate, ecological and technological transformation.

These issues are interconnected and even inseparable. This is why a transversal approach towards this subject seems essential.

Pour le déjeuner de la rentrée, nous vous proposons une rencontre exclusive avec Delphine Bachmann, nouvelle conseillère d’Etat en charge du Département de l’économie et de l’emploi.

Née en 1988 à Genève au sein d’une famille nombreuse, Delphine Bachmann obtient un Bachelor HES en Soins infirmiers en 2011. Elle exerce aux HUG puis en oncologie à la Clinique des Grangettes, et comme enseignante à la Haute Ecole de Santé de Genève.

En 2016, elle devient titulaire d’un Executive Master in Business Administration avec une spécialisation en Risk Management. Elle devient directrice administrative du Centre du Sein de la Clinique des Grangettes en 2018. Après l’intégration de la Clinique dans le groupe Hirslanden, en 2020, elle devient membre de la direction du campus Hirslanden Genève et responsable de plusieurs départements.

En parallèle elle exerce la fonction de députée au Grand Conseil de 2017 à 2023 et siège dans plusieurs conseils d’administration ou fondations notamment dans le domaine de la santé. En 2023, elle est élue Conseillère d’Etat et devient chargée du département de l’économie et de l’emploi (DEE).

Dans le cadre de l’initiative « Women on Boards », nous sommes ravies de vous accueillir aux côtés de Céline Richa pour un partage autour de la gouvernance d’entreprise, du rôle d’administratrice et de cheffe d’entreprise.

Comme nous pouvons le retrouver dans le parcours de Céline Richa, experte fiscale diplômée et réviseur agréée ASR, de nombreuses compétences, outre celles purement techniques, sont à développer pour atteindre et contribuer à la gouvernance d’entreprise.

Céline Richa, associée chez Richa & Partners S.A, bénéficie d’une expérience professionnelle de 24 ans, dont 15 ans dans l’investissement et la gestion de fortune. Céline a débuté sa carrière chez Arthur Andersen & Co en 1997, se spécialisant dans la gestion des risques financiers et l’audit de portefeuilles de produits dérivés pour des clients basés à Paris, Zurich, Londres et Genève. Elle a ensuite rejoint la banque Lombard Odier & Cie, où elle a occupé différents rôles, y compris la gestion de la gamme de fonds “matières premières”.

Depuis 2012, Céline exerce avec succès dans son propre bureau. Elle a fondé Richa & Partners S.A., où elle met à profit son expertise en droit fiscal et en expertises financières pour accompagner ses clients dans une optique de transmission d’entreprise.

Son parcours entrepreneurial est un exemple de réussite, d’autonomie professionnelle et de réalisation personnelle.

Nous reviendrons ainsi le temps du déjeuner sur les différentes étapes de son parcours, son expertise en termes d’entreprenariat et d’administration d’entreprise, ses challenges et ses sources de motivation.

L’improbable parcours de vie, de la mode de luxe au chevet des enfants malades

Rencontre avec Paola Möhl Pignatelli, Directrice de la Fondation « Planète Enfants Malades »

Après un début de carrière dans la mode, le luxe, le milieu international, Paola a mis ses compétences et toute sa passion au service des gens. D’abord en tant que thérapeute, puis engagée dans la politique et surtout en œuvrant pour la solidarité avec les plus démunis.

En tant que directrice de la Fondation Planètes Enfants Malades, elle est amenée à lever des fonds pour financer des programmes d’animations et d’activités qui sont développés et offerts aux enfants traités ou hospitalisés au CHUV. Améliorer leur quotidien et leur bien-être, soutenir les familles défavorisées et la recherche scientifique sont également des projets que Paola gère et dirige avec beaucoup de passion. La motivation, la détermination, le bon sens, l’empathie et la vision globale sont les rouages qui conduisent au succès.

La plus belle des récompenses sera toujours le regard à nouveau brillant et rempli d’étoiles des enfants.
