The cost of gender inequality
Yann Borgstedt
Entrepreneur, philanthropist and founder of Womanity
Many studies address the importance of women’s education and empowerment and there is great momentum to back up inequality with hard data, quantifying the negative impact of discrimination onto the gross domestic product (GDP) in developing countries.
“Money talks louder than words” and Yann Borgstedt skilfully combines entrepreneurship and philanthropy translating the gender gap into dollars, using social media and digital innovation to move benevolence to philanthropy 2.0.
Attend the lunch conference and hear the facts; they sound like a wake-up call to governments and entrepreneurs alike. Yann Borgstedt’s entrepreneurial skills have propelled Womanity among the top 200 NGO’s in the world, attracting thousands of donors, recently raising as much as CHF 2.6Mio in one gala event.
